Basil is a leafy green herb that originated in Asia and Africa. The word basil comes from the Greek word basilisk on, which means the royal.

Thanks to its strong taste, basil is an unavoidable spice in various kitchens, and it perfectly fits with many dishes. In order to preserve the taste, always add the basil to the meal at the end and always choose fresh basil because it has a stronger taste.
