The King of Herbs – Basil – is one of the oldest and most used medicinal plants. It sustains the body, brings beautiful thought to the mind and elevates the spirit. It is no accident that basil is an herb that is present in all religions.

Basil is the most prevalent spice herb in Mediterranean cuisine. It has a soothing effect and is therefore recommended as a natural remedy against stress and nervous tension. Basil has a strong antibacterial and antiviral effects, prevents colds symptoms such as cough and chest pain, increases appetite. Recipe for basil tea to relieve stomach pain

Make a mixture of 2 tablespoons basil, 2 tablespoons mint, 2 tablespoons St. John’s wort and 2 tablespoons thyme. Pour the entire mixture with 700 ml of boiling water. Let stand for 2 hours, then strain. Drink 1 cup of this tea before meals.

In a jar put 100 grams of dried, crushed basil and pour it with half a liter of 70% alcohol. Close the jar well and allow it to stand for at least 15 days in a dark, warm place.
